I should mention here that although Aztech are a West Country based firm the partners work regularly in London and we were able to arrange a site visit within a few days of first making contact. The plans were consulted upon between ourselves and send backwards and forwards until I was happy with the design. As a rather non-technically minded woman I felt fully in control of the process and supported in my decision making in relation to my desired plans. I am delighted with the ease at which Aztech have obtained planning permission for my new extension and the way in which they are steering through the building regulation application. I now simply have to sit back and wait for final permissions to come through and then let the builders to move in. I would definitely recommend this firm to others, and in particular would advise women or non–technically minded men that they are an extremely helpful and non-patronising team who do not mind explaining probably fairly basic terms and concepts in lay language. Some of the benefits of contracting Aztech Architecture are:

1. We currently achieve a 97% success rate with Householder Planning Applications. Of the small percentage of applications that are rejected these are normally approved on the second submission. We liaise closely with the Planning and Building Control Officers to ensure your applications are approved first time around.
2. We are always acting in your best interests. A company that provides a design and build service may not be acting in your interests and may take shortcuts with the design so that site construction works are much more straightforward and cheaper.
3. 95% of our clients receive scheme drawings within 7 working days of the site survey.
4. Our scheme drawings and building specification document will enable you to 'shop around ' for Building Contractors for the most competitive quotations in the market.
5. All Contractors will be basing their quotations on accurate detailed drawings. After you have selected a contractor there should be little room for expensive " additional extras " during the building works which you may not have budgeted for.
   Feedback from previous clients has indicated that our fee has been a very good investment in an effort to prevent this common problem.
6. We are fully insured for all liabilities and professional indemnities. Copies of our certificates are available for viewing upon request. It is essential that anyone providing design services for your home is fully insured for professional indemnity.
